In 1993, when a professor of Pharmacy Faculty of Bordeaux met a young couple and future Caudalie founders Mathilde and Bertrand Thomas, he explained that the grape seeds they threw away after harvest were actually a skin care goldmine. Stabilized polyphenols, he told them, are a treasure for skin because they are the most powerful free-radical trappers in the botanical world.
